Frequently asked questions
Price and payment
How much does an official translation cost?
COP 51,900 per page for Spanish ↔ English, VAT included. French, Italian and Portuguese: price on quote. → See Official translation
How do you count pages?
A page is each page of your document as it reaches us: each page of the PDF or each photo. If a page has a lot of text, we count 250 words per page. We charge the higher number, and you see it in the quote before you pay.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer, Bre-B key, PSE (Colombian online bank payment), Nequi or Daviplata. From the United States, also by ACH transfer to our account there. Every payment comes with an electronic invoice (factura electrónica). We start when we receive payment.
Can I pay by credit card or PayPal?
Yes. Message us and we'll send you a payment link. These methods carry a surcharge, which we confirm before sending it.
Does a quote cost anything?
No. A quote is free and with no commitment.
How long is a quote valid?
30 days. If you come back within that time, the price stands and we confirm the delivery date again.
Turnaround
How long does the quote take?
Under 2 business hours (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Colombia time).
How long does the translation take?
It depends on how many documents and pages there are. We give you the delivery date in the quote, before you pay.
I need it sooner. Can you do it?
Yes, with the rush service, price on quote.
Do you work on weekends?
We answer on WhatsApp, but we only translate with the rush service.
The translation
What do I receive?
One PDF per document, with the digital signature and stamp of a certified official translator, with a certification page at the end.
Can I get printed copies?
Yes, at an additional cost. Ask for them when you request your quote.
What do you need from my document?
A clear photo or a legible PDF of every page, on WhatsApp, through the form or by email to docs@ligoglobal.net.
Which languages do you translate?
Spanish ↔ English, and official translation in French, Italian and Portuguese.
Do you do translations that don't need a signature?
Yes. If your translation doesn't need to be official, we also do simple translation. The price is in your quote.
What about stamps, signatures and handwriting?
Each one is flagged with a note in the translation, so the reader knows what is in the original.
